Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field and/or comparable training
• Strong conceptual skills, analytical thinking and creativity
• Several years of experience in handling data integration and analysis tools, as well as in-depth knowledge of Python, PySpark and SQL
• Strong communication skills, enjoys working independently in responsible, flexible teams and experience with agile working methods
• Experience with Tableau, SAP BW or Snowflake is a plus, but not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Accompany exciting and diverse data projects in the digital transformation of the FUNKE media group
• Advise on data solutions at the interface between specialist departments and process-involved teams of Funke Technology, enabling solutions and always looking beyond the data horizon
• Recognize potentials, be an architect of the data infrastructure, model structures and create the central basis for data-based business decisions
• Develop automated processes for data preparation, integration and analysis, work on ensuring data quality standards and check them in regular monitoring
• Administer the data platform by creating users, maintaining permissions and ensuring smooth operation
