ZEIT ONLINE is looking for a mid-level Data Scientist to join their Data Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and operating various analytical products based on large and numerous data sources and data pipelines. They will also be responsible for transforming data into meaningful insights, monitoring and reporting relevant business and performance metrics, and developing quantitative models to predict and evaluate user behavior.
Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business or Economics with a focus on computer science or a comparable education
Strong experience in data analysis and consulting with business stakeholders
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R and SQL
Experience in applying machine learning algorithms and data mining methods from concept to production
Responsibilities
Transform data into meaningful insights and communicate results to different internal stakeholders
Monitor, report and analyze relevant business and performance metrics
Responsible for holistic (web) data analysis and improvement of analysis processes
Work on cross-functional projects at the intersection of Product, Editorial, Data and Engineering
Develop quantitative models to predict and evaluate user behavior and design machine learning solutions for various use cases such as Churn Prediction, Reach Attribution or User Clustering
