Requirements

• Completed education or degree, preferably in the radio industry
• Good understanding of the podcast and radio market and solid knowledge of audio technology
• Extensive experience as a radio host and proficiency in the conception and production of radio and podcasts
• Preferably a large network and familiarity in and around Hamburg
• Several years of experience in a leadership position, ideally as a program director
• Strong strategic, economic, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Creativity and innovative thinking
• Courage to take risks
• Persistence, assertiveness, integrity, patience, and empathy

Responsibilities

• Conceive and produce audio content on various topics
• Oversee the portfolio and be responsible for the selection and development of audio content and formats
• Develop long-term strategies and content for Hamburger Abendblatt
• Manage the budget for the audio department and ensure appropriate allocation of resources
• Identify new target audiences, markets, partnerships, and collaborations to increase the reach and success of audio content
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to keep the portfolio up to date
• Use your visibility to increase the reach of the portfolio
