Requirements

  • A degree in graphic design or communication design or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in creating modern layouts, preferably in publishing or media houses
  • Experience in illustration
  • Art buying experience: purchasing and briefing freelance graphic designers
  • Several years of leadership experience and the ability to motivate and inspire a creative team
  • Creative and precise with a sense of aesthetics and ability to handle tight deadlines
  • Understanding of economic contexts
  • Excellent knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the layout team of WirtschaftsWoche
  • Responsible for the visual development of the WirtschaftsWoche layout, bringing innovative design ideas to strengthen its visual appearance in print
  • Collaborate with layouters to showcase topics from the world of business and politics effectively
  • Represent the layout team in the editorial department and serve as a point of contact for layout-related questions
