Requirements

• Degree in (Media) Computer Science or a comparable education
• Several years of experience in technical SEO
• Deep understanding of technical aspects of a website (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Proficiency in Google Tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics & Google Ads), SEMrush, Sistrix, Screaming Frog & Ahrefs
• Analytical skills, proactive and independent work style, and strong teamwork abilities
• Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with changes in search algorithms and technical developments
• Additional knowledge of cloud services (AWS or Cloudflare) and JSON, JSON-LD, XML

Responsibilities

• Checking the website structure for optimal accessibility by search engines
• Identifying and fixing technical errors that can affect website indexing or ranking
• Ensuring fast and efficient website loading through caching technologies and compression tools
• Monitoring and analyzing technical metrics such as page loading time, server response time, JavaScript usage, and mobile user-friendliness
• Optimizing XML sitemaps and robots.txt files and using schema markups to help search engines understand website content
• Collaborating with other team members, such as the DevOps team, to improve hosting
