Requirements

• Enrolled student able to work approximately 16 hours per week for at least one year
• Experience in the media field, such as internships or freelance work
• Passion for current affairs, especially German news, and enjoyment of boulevard journalism, fast news, and strong headlines
• Strong writing style with an understanding of mobile article design and the ability to work quickly and independently
• Availability to work on weekends, preferably from home

Responsibilities

• Creating content in the form of text, photos, or videos from the areas of regional news (NRW) and national/international news and consumer topics
• Independently researching interesting topics and producing search engine optimized content and viral stories
• Text formatting and image selection in the content management system
• Working shifts on weekends and during early and late shifts at the news desk
• Contributing to strategic projects and gaining insights into online journalism
