Requirements

• First journalistic experience through internships or freelance work
• Completed university studies or vocational training
• High affinity for digital and social media
• Political interest and passion for sustainability and environmental protection
• Good sense for graphic and visual presentation of topics
• Familiarity with local and global environmental issues

Responsibilities

• Start a two-year cross-media voluntary training program with a focus on climate, environment, and sustainability
• Gain insights into regional and central editorial offices, including the Berlin central editorial office and the mantle editorial office
• Create a sustainability series and work on a digital project for the "Fair Ändern" department
• Learn the journalistic craft from A to Z, including research, production, publication, and optimization for digital channels
• Further develop through internal internships as part of the "Jeder Beitrag zählt" sustainability initiative
• Expand journalistic skills through external stations, such as the Wuppertal Institute or the Emschergenossenschaft (press and communications departments)
• Collaborate with experienced journalists who will provide intensive training
