Requirements

• Completed Volontariat and ideally several years of journalistic experience as a local reporter
• Demonstrated sense for relevant local topics
• Knowledge of digital journalism practices and the use of analytics tools
• Experience in using social media platforms, especially Facebook
• Familiarity with the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis region or a willingness to get to know the region and its people

Responsibilities

• Implementing local news on digital and analog channels, including social media
• Building a network of contacts and maintaining it
• Analyzing user interests using dashboard data
• Demonstrating creativity in journalistic photography, videography, and finding topics outside of scheduled events
• Collaborating closely with colleagues from the production desk
