Requirements

• Must be a Volljurist*in with at least two satisfactory exam results
• Two years of professional experience, preferably in a media law-focused law firm or media company
• Enthusiasm for legal issues related to editorial publications in various media genres
• Strong understanding of a company's economic interests
• Responsible, strong communication skills, advisory skills, negotiation skills, and solution-oriented

Responsibilities

• Independently handle legal matters in the areas of press and media law, intellectual property law, and copyright law
• Provide legal advice to FUNKE's editorial teams, participate in negotiations, and draft/ review contracts
• Manage court proceedings and represent the company in legal disputes (where permitted by professional ethics) or coordinate with external lawyers
• Oversee projects related to media law and legal issues in the use of AI
